2021-08-12[syserror] Convert remaining syserror definitions to linuxerr.Zach Koopmans
Convert remaining public errors (e.g. EINTR) from syserror to linuxerr. PiperOrigin-RevId: 390471763
2021-07-12[syserror] Update syserror to linuxerr for more errors.Zach Koopmans
Update the following from syserror to the linuxerr equivalent: EEXIST EFAULT ENOTDIR ENOTTY EOPNOTSUPP ERANGE ESRCH PiperOrigin-RevId: 384329869
2021-06-30[syserror] Update syserror to linuxerr for EACCES, EBADF, and EPERM.Zach Koopmans
Update all instances of the above errors to the faster linuxerr implementation. With the temporary linuxerr.Equals(), no logical changes are made. PiperOrigin-RevId: 382306655
2021-06-29[syserror] Change syserror to linuxerr for E2BIG, EADDRINUSE, and EINVALZach Koopmans
Remove three syserror entries duplicated in linuxerr. Because of the linuxerr.Equals method, this is a mere change of return values from syserror to linuxerr definitions. Done with only these three errnos as CLs removing all grow to a significantly large size. PiperOrigin-RevId: 382173835

2021-03-29[syserror] Split usermem packageZach Koopmans
Split usermem package to help remove syserror dependency in go_marshal. New hostarch package contains code not dependent on syserror. PiperOrigin-RevId: 365651233
2021-03-15Make netstack (//pkg/tcpip) buildable for 32 bitKevin Krakauer
Doing so involved breaking dependencies between //pkg/tcpip and the rest of gVisor, which are discouraged anyways. Tested on the Go branch via: gvisor.dev/gvisor/pkg/tcpip/... Addresses #1446. PiperOrigin-RevId: 363081778
2020-11-16Remove ARP address workaroundGhanan Gowripalan
- Make AddressableEndpoint optional for NetworkEndpoint. Not all NetworkEndpoints need to support addressing (e.g. ARP), so AddressableEndpoint should only be implemented for protocols that support addressing such as IPv4 and IPv6. With this change, tcpip.ErrNotSupported will be returned by the stack when attempting to modify addresses on a network endpoint that does not support addressing. Now that packets are fully handled at the network layer, and (with this change) addresses are optional for network endpoints, we no longer need the workaround for ARP where a fake ARP address was added to each NIC that performs ARP so that packets would be delivered to the ARP layer. 2020-10-08Do not resolve routes immediatelyGhanan Gowripalan
When a response needs to be sent to an incoming packet, the stack should consult its neighbour table to determine the remote address's link address. When an entry does not exist in the stack's neighbor table, the stack should queue the packet while link resolution completes. See comments. PiperOrigin-RevId: 336185457

Because the abi will depend on the core types for marshalling (usermem, context, safemem, safecopy), these need to be flattened from the sentry directory. These packages contain no sentry-specific details. PiperOrigin-RevId: 291811289

2019-06-18gvisor/fs: don't update file.offset for sockets, pipes, etcAndrei Vagin
sockets, pipes and other non-seekable file descriptors don't use file.offset, so we don't need to update it. With this change, we will be able to call file operations without locking the file.mu mutex. This is already used for pipes in the splice system call. PiperOrigin-RevId: 253746644

2019-05-21Add basic plumbing for splice and stub implementation.Adin Scannell
This does not actually implement an efficient splice or sendfile. Rather, it adds a generic plumbing to the file internals so that this can be added. All file implementations use the stub fileutil.NoSplice implementation, which causes sendfile and splice to fall back to an internal copy. A basic splice system call interface is added, along with a test. PiperOrigin-RevId: 249335960 Change-Id: Ic5568be2af0a505c19e7aec66d5af2480ab0939b

2019-04-02device: fix device major/minorWei Zhang
Current gvisor doesn't give devices a right major and minor number. When testing golang supporting of gvisor, I run the test case below: ``` $ docker run -ti --runtime runsc golang:1.12.1 bash -c "cd /usr/local/go/src && ./run.bash " ``` And it reports some errors, one of them is: "--- FAIL: TestDevices (0.00s) --- FAIL: TestDevices//dev/null_1:3 (0.00s) dev_linux_test.go:45: for /dev/null Major(0x0) == 0, want 1 dev_linux_test.go:48: for /dev/null Minor(0x0) == 0, want 3 dev_linux_test.go:51: for /dev/null Mkdev(1, 3) == 0x103, want 0x0 --- FAIL: TestDevices//dev/zero_1:5 (0.00s) dev_linux_test.go:45: for /dev/zero Major(0x0) == 0, want 1 dev_linux_test.go:48: for /dev/zero Minor(0x0) == 0, want 5 dev_linux_test.go:51: for /dev/zero Mkdev(1, 5) == 0x105, want 0x0 --- FAIL: TestDevices//dev/random_1:8 (0.00s) dev_linux_test.go:45: for /dev/random Major(0x0) == 0, want 1 dev_linux_test.go:48: for /dev/random Minor(0x0) == 0, want 8 dev_linux_test.go:51: for /dev/random Mkdev(1, 8) == 0x108, want 0x0 --- FAIL: TestDevices//dev/full_1:7 (0.00s) dev_linux_test.go:45: for /dev/full Major(0x0) == 0, want 1 dev_linux_test.go:48: for /dev/full Minor(0x0) == 0, want 7 dev_linux_test.go:51: for /dev/full Mkdev(1, 7) == 0x107, want 0x0 --- FAIL: TestDevices//dev/urandom_1:9 (0.00s) dev_linux_test.go:45: for /dev/urandom Major(0x0) == 0, want 1 dev_linux_test.go:48: for /dev/urandom Minor(0x0) == 0, want 9 dev_linux_test.go:51: for /dev/urandom Mkdev(1, 9) == 0x109, want 0x0 " So I think we'd better assign to them correct major/minor numbers following linux spec. 2018-12-12Filesystems shouldn't be saving references to Platform.Rahat Mahmood
Platform objects are not savable, storing references to them in filesystem datastructures would cause save to fail if someone actually passed in a Platform. Current implementations work because everywhere a Platform is expected, we currently pass in a Kernel object which embeds Platform and thus satisfies the interface. Eliminate this indirection and save pointers to Kernel directly. PiperOrigin-RevId: 225288336 Change-Id: Ica399ff43f425e15bc150a0d7102196c3d54a2ab
