2017-05-15Nest: split route show into separate fileJan Moskyto Matejka
2017-04-25Nest: Update of show route cmdOndrej Zajicek (work)
Some code cleanup, multiple bugfixes, allows to specify also channel for 'show route export'. Interesting how such apparenty simple thing like show route cmd has plenty of ugly corner cases.
2017-04-18Check validity of dest w.r.t. net_typeOndrej Zajicek (work)
Allow to define static roa/flow routes without dest.
2017-04-12Nest: Fix route lookupJan Moskyto Matejka
2017-04-12Client: multitable version of show routeJan Moskyto Matejka
2017-03-22BGP: Support for MPLS labels and VPN SAFIOndrej Zajicek (work)
Basic support for SAFI 4 and 128 (MPLS labeled IP and VPN) for IPv4 and IPv6. Should work for route reflector, but does not properly handle originating routes with next hop self. Based on patches from Jan Matejka.

2017-02-22Nest: names for nhu_state valuesJan Moskyto Matejka
It took too much time to analyze what's the meaning of nhu_state values so I spent less than the same amount of time documenting it.

2016-12-22MPLS: Label stack concatenation for recursive routesJan Moskyto Matejka
2016-12-22Netlink: MPLS routes in kernelJan Moskyto Matejka
Anyway, Bird is now capable to insert both MPLS routes and MPLS encap routes into kernel. It was (among others) needed to define platform-specific AF_MPLS to 28 as this constant has been assigned in the linux kernel. No support for BSD now, it may be added in the future.
2016-12-22Static: Protocol rework wrt. struct nexthop changes; MPLS label supportJan Moskyto Matejka
2016-12-22Nexthop: Support for label stack in nestJan Moskyto Matejka
2016-12-22Merged multipath and single-path data structures.Jan Moskyto Matejka
Dropped struct mpnh and mpnh_*() Now struct nexthop exists, nexthop_*(), and also included struct nexthop into struct rta. Also converted RTD_DEVICE and RTD_ROUTER to RTD_UNICAST. If it is needed to distinguish between these two cases, RTD_DEVICE is equivalent to IPA_ZERO(a->nh.gw), RTD_ROUTER is then IPA_NONZERO(a->nh.gw). From now on, we also explicitely want C99 compatible compiler. We assume that this 20-year norm should be known almost everywhere.
2016-12-07Basic flow specification support (RFC 5575)Ondrej Zajicek (work)
Add flow4/flow6 network and rt-table type and operations, config grammar and static protocol support. Squashed flowspec branch from Pavel Tvrdik.
2016-12-07Merge branch 'int-new-rpki-squashed' (early part) into int-newJan Moskyto Matejka
2016-12-07BGP redesignOndrej Zajicek (work)
Integrated and extensible BGP with generalized AFI handling, support for IPv4+IPv6 AFI and unicast+multicast SAFI.

2016-12-07RPKI protocol with one cache server per protocolPavel Tvrdík
The RPKI protocol (RFC 6810) using the RTRLib (http://rpki.realmv6.org/) that is integrated inside the BIRD's code. Implemeted transports are: - unprotected transport over TCP - secure transport over SSHv2 Example configuration of bird.conf: ... roa4 table r4; roa6 table r6; protocol rpki { debug all; # Import both IPv4 and IPv6 ROAs roa4 { table r4; }; roa6 { table r6; }; # Set cache server (validator) address, # overwrite default port 323 remote "rpki-validator.realmv6.org" port 8282; # Overwrite default time intervals retry 10; # Default 600 seconds refresh 60; # Default 3600 seconds expire 600; # Default 7200 seconds } protocol rpki { debug all; # Import only IPv4 routes roa4 { table r4; }; # Set cache server address to localhost, # use default ports tcp => 323 or ssh => 22 remote 127.0.0.1; # Use SSH transport instead of unprotected transport over TCP ssh encryption { bird private key "/home/birdgeek/.ssh/id_rsa"; remote public key "/home/birdgeek/.ssh/known_hosts"; user "birdgeek"; }; } ...

2016-11-01Build: switch on -Wextra, get rid of most of the warningsJan Moskyto Matejka
There are several unresolved -Wmissing-field-initializers on older versions of GCC than 5.1, all of them false positive.
2016-10-12Fixed memory bloating on kernel merge paths together with export filter.Jan Moskyto Matejka
Some memory was being allocated from bad linpool, not from the given one as they should. Thanks to Madhu and Justin Cattle for reporting this.
2016-09-15rt-table: Fix kernel protocol export filter memory bugPavel Tvrdik
Kernel protocol calls rt_export_merged(), which used @rte_update_pool for temporary allocations, supposing it is called from other functions from rt-table.c that handles locking and flushing of the linpool. Therefore, linpool was not flushed properly and memory leaked. Add linpool argument to rt_export_merged() and use @krt_filter_lp when called from kernel protocol. Thanks to Justin Cattle and Alexander Frolkin for the bugreport. (Commit squashed and updated by Ondrej Zajicek)

2016-04-08Route update: move table lookup from protocols into rte_update2().Jan Moskyto Matejka
Many protocols do almost the same when creating a rte_update request before calling rte_update2(). This commit should simplify the protocol side of the route-creation routine.

2016-02-01Channels - explicit links between protocols and tablesOndrej Zajicek (work)
The patch adds support for channels, structures connecting protocols and tables and handling most interactions between them. The documentation is missing yet.

2015-11-09Nest: Fixes bug in missing cleanup during table removalOndrej Zajicek (work)
When a table is removed during reconfiguration, a reference was not cleared in the old configuration, which breaks undo.
2015-11-09Conf: Fixes bug in symbol lookup during reconfigurationOndrej Zajicek (work)
Symbol lookup by cf_find_symbol() not only did the lookup but also added new void symbols allocated from cfg_mem linpool, which gets broken when lookups are done outside of config parsing, which may lead to crashes during reconfiguration. The patch separates lookup-only cf_find_symbol() and config-modifying cf_get_symbol(), while the later is called only during parsing. Also new_config and cfg_mem global variables are NULLed outside of parsing.
2015-11-05Initial commit on integrated BIRDOndrej Zajicek (work)
New data types net_addr and variants (in lib/net.h) describing network addresses (prefix/pxlen). Modifications of FIB structures to handle these data types and changing everything to use these data types instead of prefix/pxlen pairs where possible. The commit is WiP, some protocols are not yet updated (BGP, Kernel), and the code contains some temporary scaffolding. Comments are welcome.
